Working With Us

A bespoke partnership, not a production line

We take on a small number of families each admissions cycle, so that every student has our full attention. Everything begins with a conversation — to make sure we are the right people for your child.

By introduction & consultation · A limited number of families each cycle

End to end

Support across the whole admissions journey

From the first conversation to the day an offer is confirmed, we are alongside your family at every stage.

1

First conversation

Introductory consultation

A relaxed, no-obligation conversation to understand your child’s goals, current position and the universities in view — and to see whether we are the right fit for one another.

2

Weeks 1–2

Diagnostic & bespoke plan

We assess exactly where your child stands and design a term-by-term plan around their targets, exam board and timetable — never an off-the-shelf package.

3

Throughout

Subject mastery

Regular one-to-one tuition in Economics, Politics or French, building genuine understanding and the exam technique that secures top A Level grades.

4

Spring – summer

Admissions tests

Focused preparation for the tests each course requires — TMUA, TSA and subject tests for Oxbridge, and SAT/ACT strategy for the US.

5

Summer – autumn

Personal statement & written work

Drafting and refining the personal statement, supplemental essays and any submitted work until every line earns its place.

6

Winter

Interview preparation

Realistic one-to-one mock interviews in the Oxbridge and US styles, with honest, detailed feedback that builds genuine composure.

7

Offer & beyond

Results & the next step

Guidance through decisions, results day and confirmation — and a confident, well-prepared step up to university life.

We’re likely a good fit if…

  • You want one trusted team, not a rotating cast of tutors.
  • Your child is ready to be challenged and to work.
  • You value candour over comfortable promises.
  • You are planning ahead, not seeking a last-minute fix.

A considered fit

We choose our families as carefully as you choose us

Because our work is genuinely bespoke — and demanding of our time — we keep our list deliberately small. We would rather mentor a handful of students exceptionally well than spread ourselves thinly across many.

So every partnership begins with a complimentary consultation. It is as much for us as for you: we only take on a student when we are confident we can make a real difference to their chances. If we are not the right team, we will say so — and point you in a better direction.

If that sounds like the standard you are looking for, we would be glad to hear from you.

The people behind it

Meet your mentors

You work directly with one of the two founders — never a faceless agency or an unvetted stand-in.

Alexis, our Land Economy Tutor

Trinity College, Cambridge

[Placeholder bio — to be replaced.] A few sentences here introducing Alexis: where he grew up and went to school, the journey to a Trinity College offer, and what first drew him to economics and languages. This is the place to make him feel real and relatable to parents.

A second short paragraph on his tutoring style — patient, rigorous, exam-focused — and what he most enjoys about helping students reach their potential. A personal touch or two (interests, languages spoken) rounds things out nicely.

William, our HSPS Tutor

Corpus Christi College, Cambridge

Coming to Cambridge from a leading independent school, I’ve experienced the rigorous process that applying to Cambridge requires. For me, my genuine love for both Politics and Economics was what enabled my success, demonstrating past my results that I was willing to work and eager to learn.

My mentoring process is aligned with this inside experience of the admissions process — through clear and structured sessions, along with the encouragement and confidence-building where needed, I take pride in seeing my mentees flourish, not only within but also outside of the academic-focused admissions process.
